My Root Brands testimonial…

My wife (Becky) and I were introduced to The Root Brands in March 2022. Little did we know the impact these incredible products were about to have on our lives and for me, a 53 year old Senior PGA Golf Professional what was about to happen on the golf course.

We’ve believed in supplements for many years, watch our food intake, look after our bodies and always tried to source healthy products where possible..

I returned to competitive golf in 2019, having just turned 50, following my 18 years retirement (concentrating on my coaching career).

The thought of competing again never crossed my mind until a challenge from my father in our last conversation, shortly before he passed away. He asked me “If I’d ever consider playing golf again competitively when I turned 50?” “Why would I do that Dad?”  He replied “You need to test what you teach son?” Believing that my methods worked, I didn’t feel the need to and I also didn’t feel I wanted to work hard on my game again in order to be competitive. (If I was going to play again, I had to be able to compete). However, Dads words kept reminding me that I did need to test what I teach for the benefit of my clients and so the journey began..

I had very limited success, but enjoyed the experience, before the disruption that ensued in 2020 and struggled to find any real purpose on the course in 2021, However, a few sub par round’s had established the methods worked, and with the ever present encouragement from Becky I decide that 2022 would be the ‘make or break’ year. I’d not won a tournament since Jan 2001, (my last competitive round) but I set a goal to win one of the Warwickshire County Pro events and qualify to represent the county in the season ending County Championships. Practice went well, pre-season form was steady, but I’d not played with a card in hand for over six months so I had no idea how long it would take me to get going. I needed to focus better and i needed to be sharper! Enter ‘Clean-Slate & Zero-In’ within days, Becky & I had noticed a sharper edge to our working practices, (Becky works online) and I’d shot a couple of personal-best rounds in practice. Was it me, or the Root Products? I couldn’t wait to play, and two weeks later started nicely, I stayed focused all day, the weather was awful, but I kept going and finished with a birdie and a 5th place finish in my first event.. Steady but uninspiring scores followed and I realised I needed a bigger test and that came in the form of the Seniors Open Qualifier.. I started with an eagle, had a couple of bad breaks (thats golf right?) and beat myself up for letting the opportunity get away, but some serious talking to and a word or two of true from Becky gave me the kick to push on.. I further tested the amount of Zero-In I played my best golf with? I found to secret and two weeks later, I won the Warwickshire Pro’s, my first win in over 21 years… I didn’t need a psychologist, my brain fog was cleared by the Root Brands Products and I was performing back to my best both on & off the course! Incidentally, I also recorded two play-off losses and represented the County… I set new goals for 2023 (win a PGA Order of Merit event, qualify fo rthe Seniors Open Championship & win on the Masters Pro Tour). So far, so good, 18th in my first Pro Tour event and a win in my first PGA Seniors event of the year sets the tone for the year.. I believe I can achieve more than last year and with Zero-In keeping my mind clear and focused on & off the course, I believe 2023 is going to be my best year since my Professional Golf career began in 1990..
